LAKE FOREST, CA (October 31, 2013) - When a season ends with a DNF, especially in a big money race that had a win well within reach, it's hard to put the year into perspective by the time the haulers are packed up. Carl Renezeder had a fantastic 2013 Lucas Oil off Road Racing Series season, wrapping up another Pro-4 Championship with one race to go, accumulating ten wins along the way, and setting a consecutive win record of nine-in-a-row in one division. That's a lot to be proud of, but letting a couple races slip away in the closing weekend made it hard to focus on those accomplishments. Luckily, over the years of racing and winning , Renezeder has found a way to be humble in both success and defeat, and this weekend was no different when he searched for perspective on Sunday night.
LAKE FOREST, CA - October 21, 2013 - According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That means that each of us is touched by the disease in one way or another: a mom, a sister, a daughter, a friend or a personal diagnosis. The goal of October being designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to reduce that number via education and early detection. Carl Renezeder and his short-course team will be doing their part to spread the word and build awareness next weekend in Lake Elsinore, California. The biggest race of the season, the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup, which is being shown live on MavTV, will see Renezeder's traditional red, white and blue truck "tickled pink."
As the series and their classes are just now 1 race weekend out from wrapping up the year and championships, the Stronghold team was fighting under the Las Vegas lights in rounds 13 & 14 to try and gain as many points as they could towards their possible championships.
LAKE FOREST, CA - September 26, 2013 - Nine championships. Nine. That's an impressive number, even more so when you consider they were earned in just 15 seasons of racing. Carl Renezeder won just one race in his first season of short-course competition in 1999 and has since built a record book that's truly legendary. His 114 career short-course wins have garnered nine national championship titles, the latest of which was secured this past Saturday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in round 14 of the 15-race Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series season. He's one of the most prolific drivers this sport has ever seen, and he's still at the top of his game.
