Estero Beach Race Report

Ensenada, Baja California Mexico (May 18-19th, 2019)

We brought our momentum and mustaches south of the border to one of our favorites races of the year, Estero Beach! Last year this was one of our best races so it was important we did our best to keep the early season momentum rolling.

Turbo UTV

The sun would poke through the dark rain clouds as Ronnie would be up first in qualifying for the day in Turbo UTV. Ronnie charged hard through the rough whoop section thanks to his Walker Evans shocks on his Polaris RZR and qualify a solid 4th but would pull a 6th inversion and put him 3rd off the line.

Ronnie would hold his speed and finish with a 2nd in round 3. In round 4 Ronnie would find himself running in 3rd as well until a mechanical failure would set him back in the race. Ronnie was able to bring a top 10 finish home and gain points in the championship.

Prolite

During qualifying Ronnie drove the Rockstar Energy Prolite into the 6th position and would pull a 6 inversion putting him in clean air up front. Ronnie hammered down and got the hole shot thanks to the grip of his BFGoodrich Tires and would be out front for the majority of the race.

Ronnie kept the consistency running through rounds 3 and 4. After leading laps for both days Ronnie brought home a 3rd and 4th place finish keeping him in the points race for the championship.

Pro4

Qualifying was fast as all the trucks laid down fast lap times and RJ would qualify second with no inversion putting him in the front of the pack.

Once the green flag dropped RJ was up front all race and would put distance on the rest of the field by the 4th lap. RJ kept his lead and would hold his position firmly until he crossed the checkered flag.

RJ would not only bring the top spot home in Pro4 but would also clinch the Fast Lap award in the race!

Coming into round 4 RJ would make key passes early on and find himself in the lead once again. After an unfortunate mechanical failure that set RJ back in the race he would capitalize on a podium opportunity and push the injured truck to the finish.

RJ would move into third with a couple of laps remaining in the race and gain valuable championship points.
