Today the racers gambled in the heat to see who would come out on top in qualifying for both Rounds 13 and 14 in Las Vegas, NV for the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series. . One qualifying session would settle starting times for both Friday and Saturday night, with separate inversions for each day. Setting the fast lap for the day was Carl Renezeder in his Pro 4 Unlimited truck with a time of 1:06.667, followed closely behind by 007 himself Eric Barron. All top qualifiers were only a blink of an eye faster the the rest of the group, with Pro 2 being the closest where Rob MacCachren squeezed by Renezeder by only 5 thousands of a second.
Casey Currie would keep his momentum after Crandon landing the fastest in Prolite, with Dave Mason Jr. qualifying first in Pro Buggy in his Rommney/Ryan supported graphics. Both Rounds 13 and 14 will be fought in the dark under the lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where championships can be clinched, and dreams taken away.
